A volunteer-led community safety organization working to monitor our neighbourhood, report incidents, and keep our community informed and protected.
Westerra Crime Watch is a group of volunteer citizens dedicated to keeping our neighbourhood safe. We are not a vigilante group — we observe, document, and report to the proper authorities so that law enforcement can act effectively.
We conduct regular neighbourhood patrols, maintain a record of suspicious activity and incidents, publish community bulletins, collect and preserve video evidence, and coordinate directly with the Parkland RCMP Detachment on local safety matters.
We maintain an active relationship with the Parkland RCMP Detachment. Our documentation and secure evidence-sharing capabilities help law enforcement respond quickly and with the context they need to investigate effectively.
Westerra Crime Watch was formed by concerned residents who believe community safety begins with community involvement. Neighbours looking out for one another is one of the most powerful and proven deterrents to crime.
Our volunteers patrol regularly, maintaining a visible presence that deters criminal activity and provides peace of mind to residents. When incidents occur, we document them thoroughly and report them promptly so that the RCMP have the information they need.
We publish bulletins whenever a notable incident occurs in our area. Check our bulletins page regularly to stay informed about activity in the neighbourhood.
We operate a secure file transfer service at transfer.crimewatch.group for sharing video evidence with neighbours and law enforcement.
